Dyed tint is the starter option. It gives your car a darker look, cuts glare, and helps with heat. In Sydney, the law allows 35% VLT on front windows and 20% on rear and back windows.
Carbon tint has a matte finish that doesn’t fade or turn purple. It also won’t mess with GPS or phone signals. The rules are the same: at least 35% VLT on front windows and 20% on rear and back windows.
Ceramic tint blocks UV rays and heat without making the glass look hazy. It lasts longer and keeps the car cooler. NSW laws require 35% VLT on the front windows and 20% VLT on the rear and back windows.
Nano ceramic tint is the high end option. It rejects the most heat, stays clear, and is very durable. The legal limits stay the same with 35% VLT on front windows and 20% on rear and back windows.
Clear tint doesn’t darken your windows but still blocks UV rays and heat. It keeps the factory look and is legal for all windows, including the windscreen, as long as NSW rules are followed.
